All of us read, watch tv, talk, are bombarded with lots of informations, false or not, we receive obvious and hidden sugestions, influences, are we free minds or just a bundle of influences? Can you keep your mind not influenced by external or internal thoughts, propaganda, manipulations?

But Jorge Felino----ALL thoughts are free!! ll of them!
The thoughts pass our day non stop, even in sleeping they are spooking non stop.
All words we use, are from our won thoughts, maybe influenced by many humans, still my thoughts.
If I see a really clever person write something very special, unique, and worthy to be remembered, I adopt those as some kind of good ideas with lots of value to be remembered, just as you cut and paste JK, a good wise man in my eyes.

Since I was 17 and took decision to move, I thought; I will never return, from now on, it is only me and my values I will go for,nothing else.
But on my journey, like all others, values change by more wisdom more understanding more knowledge, even more humans all of them with different life stories.
Those impacts,for sure!

No I cant,
but how it affect me is not sure what the propaganda machine wanted it to be,
We interact with the world, but we are not stupid machines that answer nicely back, you have right Mr Propaganda.

Do unawareness exist in propaganda and I react or more correct, I don't reflect over the data I consume..

This will work for a short period,
until I find my own values, while it may play me a game.

Why not reduce all the noise of all thes news ?,
why do we consume so lot of news.. I dont think we can use them rational anyway.. Its pure Entertainment I guess.

I dont read news papers, books or watch tv or listening at radio... I think that is one of the good with being addicted to internet, We can choose what we want to study.
That will work for a short period,
I will work for a short period, or longer,
but somewhere in this path, I will be aware over my own values and revalue

Heli, are your mind free when thinking? Or the thoughts you have are the result of the influences you received ?

But Marko, arent the influences you received from past till now that makes you choose what to read in internet? Making up your values?

Jorge....I will try to explain:
1. I have my values, morals, my spirituality and philosophy view already.

2. When reading adds,I read the well, I think about what the other person tells.

3. My mind is now in 3 different places; what I already knew, the add I just read, and how to proceed what the person that has written just wrote

4. If I accept the idea, which I often do, they will directly fall into my group 1.

5. If I don´t agree, then you see my post in here, and also telling why I don´t agree.

My mind is free. I am allowed to think about anything I want. If I want to think about a banana the I do that.
The reason why I join philosophy groups is just my curious nose that wants to hear others opinion, and in the beginning I never thought I would get anything from this group, but Gosh how wrong I was!!!
There are so much wisdom in here, I try to learn one thing new, every day.

About the past, I have barred my past, it is over, I just turned 30 and my new life have started! And it feels wonderful!

as a kid I loved american black and white movies from the forties to the fifties, and still today I enjoy them.

they affect me with things I like, when humans had care.

News, I did not watched news as kid, and the school forced us to read newspaper :P, kids dont like news as we adults do.

I read lot of books as kid, science fictions and drama books about real happenings. I choose my media even at that time.

I hated the Swedish tv for kids, and at that time I understood they contains propaganda, was not sure what kind, but they was a socialized correct behave.. I hated it :)

everything acts and reacts, not sure if the reaction is what others wanted it to be..

the question is, did I affect them with y own values,
of course I did, we all do.
