Its kinda quiet in here. Thats strange lol.. Anyway, i went on my shoppin spree at the music shop the other day, and came across an artist called 'Choklate'.. I jus wanted to spread the word 2 any1 who r unfamiliar with her, to BUY HER ALBUM!!.. you will not b disappointed. I luckily got the last copy of her album in the shop. thats saying sumthing! Her sound is fresh and funky! has quite a bit of hip hop beats and old skool soul sounds. i dont think you'll be dissapointed. Check her out here..

yeah..i feel you on that one...I've heard a few of her joints and she's definitely got some flavour...I've got her doown on my long list of 'must haves'!!...CD City or Deal Real?? What else did you get?

i didnt manage to get anything else, but on my previous visit i got V, darien brockington and omar's album, which r all great. i will have to go back soon though (surprise surprise hehe), cos i wanna find out if they have a girl called 'georgia anne muldrow'. i heard 2 of her songs and they were BIG!. She has a funky, jazzy, hip hoppy, broken sound 2 her music. different, so not every1s taste, but i'd definitely advice u 2 check her our if u like different sounding neo soul. her EP is called 'worthnothings' and its produced and performed all by her, and shes only 20! thats sum good going :D. 1 of her songs 'larva' sounds like 3 differnt songs in 1!, but it still gels 2getha v.well. thats the kind of talent ur gonna b dealin with if u listen 2 her stuff lol. u can also listen 2 other songs of hers on

I've heard about georgia anne muldrow...I think it was when I was perusing OKAYPLAYER.com...thats a phat site by the way! I downloaded a few of her joints and i think she is cool...She's reminiscent of Meshell Ndegeocello and the sounds have that King Britt thing going on...very cool! If its not available in CD City try Red Records in Brixton...

Frank McComb I think he is more Jazzy Soul than Neo Soul...I downloaded(been doing tht a lot lately) one of his songs "Intimate Time" <- definitely a joint for the lovers. His music puts you in a blissful mood...a place to be enjoyed with your significant other...its tight and if your thinking of getting it, stay with that chain of thought ;-)

The last joint I got was Wayna - Moments of Clarity...havent bought anything since (planned CD City trip in the next month, hopefully), however, I've got hold of Anthony Hamilton, Havana,Lina, The Roots and Richard Bona and my new and notables to watch out for are Lisa Shaw(www.naked-music.com),Zamajobe(www.zamajobe.co.za), Lysette Titi(www.myspace.com/lysettetiti), Vikter Duplaix, Mojoe, Ammoncontact...the list could go on...lol.

You heard MOS Def's Remix of Jill Scott's "Love Rain"...supertight got it on repeat cnstntly...unfortunately I dont have a link for it...but if you can hook it up you need to hear it...

Well I have never heard of frank mccomb until the guy in CD CITY told me about him, so I will definitely listen 2 his stuff in the shop. I luv smooth grooves, wen ur jus chillin by urself or with a S.O. J…. Wanya’s album is gr8. There is sumthing there for every1. Every song is different, but still maintains the standard J

You mentioned a fu names on ur ‘to check out/buy list’ lol. Imma have 2 check sum of those names I don’t recognise J I’ve heard Vikter Duplaix, Zamajobe, Havana and The Roots stuff and they r all cool. I heard 1 of Vikter’s current songs- “make a baby“ and DAMN! Lol.. He has such a peaceful, sensual voice, it puts u in that chilled zone J.. I also heard other stuff of his, but under the Broken Beat genre.

Yea.....iv heard MOS def's remix to 'Love Rain' its propa good. Dat album of Jill Scotts was real good, you lot got it. 'Honey Molases' and da original 'Love Rain' is my favourite, but da whole album is nice. I think I kina prefer it to her latest one, having said dat tho, depends what mood you in..........
