Vashanth Sellethurai is a talented, upcoming music composer. He was born on March 6, 1984. He and his family moved to Denmark in 1985 where he spent most of his childhood with his aunts family, who brought him up like his own parents.
Vashanth started learning the piano at the age of 7 and at the age of 9, he began to play Keyboard for his fathers drama troupe.
In the year 2000 he composed his first song called "Welcome 2000". It became a well known song among everyone which helped him realise his own talent in music. Then he began to learn music in different genres. His main instrument is Keyboard, but he also learned to play guitar, bass, drum, tabela, veena and various percussions. He then learned Karnatic music, which aided him to compose melodious tunes with western inspiration.
He got his admission to gymnasium education in 2001 and he chose music as his main subject, where he learned the basic of music composition techniques and how to analyze music production from various genres. In 2003 he released his debut album "Ilamai Inimai Puthumai" with a big music event in Denmark where thousands of fans turned up and gave him a major support. It gave him the faith and self-confidence to continue his journey in the music industry. His latest music productions were sound tracks for the Tamil movie Pookkal which has done 100 days in the cinemas all over the world during the period of 2004-2005. This success aided him to take the first leap in to the cinema world.
After the making of Pookkal, he completed Electronic Music in a private music school and he is currently working on his second movie Puyal, and his upcoming album Sensation.
