Collective Consciousness is a human rights organization which stands for Human Rights around the world. We are a unique organization in that we have stood firm on human rights issues, survived the current of opposition, and rode the waves to the shore of meaningful results. Many human rights organizations are rightfully accused of not producing meaningful results, therefore they produce apathy amo...ngst the general public and loss of faith in the political system and leaders. Instead, Collective Consciousness educates the student body on human rights issues through lectures and movies. IHRC also participates actively by working with/against corporations, governments, and politicians whose position augments human rights abuses. We do not TALK, we DO human rights. Some of Collective Consciousness' accomplishments include helping to pass the McGovern-Sestack-Bishop amendment for the School of the Americas Watch in Congress, gaining political asylum for a graduate student of the Falun D
